Apart from other problem...one problem is people tend to panic in such situation and performance anxiety kicks in when there are other peoples also seeing you struggling.

Bro getting people out isn't a good idea...with more weight car will have more traction...if you watch tug of war of cars...car with more weight and torque takes leap...with ecosport power and torque is not the issue it's just traction...and obviously the tyre must have been worn out...!!

You should always keep 20psi in that hilly area with off road as it's 4*2

Lol...this is why they should know the car better.... They just need to manually put traction control to off and then come with little momentum..Due to slip the traction control is not giving power to both tires..

It looks like that is the 1L 3cylinder ecosport that comes only Fwd. The 2L 4cylinder engine comes with a auto 4wd system (basically awd).

Just looks like to me the ecosport doesn't have traction control. It's sending all the power to the wheel with no traction. I had a focus with the same issues. Older cars managed better without traction control as the way the power was delivered was much more sedate.

Looks like mine, I’m guessing it’s not 4 wheel drive either as only the right front tire is spinning. Makes a difference an bad tires don’t help.

Lot of these vehicles use so-called all season tires, good for general all round driving but not worth much in mud or sometime deep snow, you need a hood off road type tire that can get a good grip to avoid slipping like that ECOSPORT did, I think the driver an the care would have performed better if it had more aggressive tires ( that weren’t bald ). I’ve seen a lot of gripes not only the ECOSPORT but other vehicles of its type about poor off-road performance an have trouble that other vehs don’t have. Well one thing the ECOSPORT is not a hard core off road vehicle, besides ford seems to put the cheapest set of tires on them, basically street tires. I think if it had a little more aggressive tires it would do better just like the other vehicles. I’m not talking about extreme off road tires but a more aggressive style that’s more suited to moderate off road use. Here in America I have tried to find some after market parts for my ECOSPORT but their slim to none. I’ve seen that in India you can get a front skid plate to protect the underside an engine an a few other things ( I can’t get an air filter at the ford dealer 2.0 engine). An I don’t know why Ford didn’t put the turbo on the 2.0 instead of the 1.3 dumb move I think ). I think if you put 4 wheel drive on a small SUV like these then have an option for more aggressive tires an maybe a skid plate option.

Ford Ecosport was sold in America. It was considered crap. When I lived in Brazil, it was also sold there. Although people liked it, it was known for being a "asphalt SUV", pretty much incapable of anything.

Its front wheel drive , due to angle loosing traction. Putt weight on front get result.

it is a rental car, not the top variant, Traction control and ESP in higher variant easily solves this problem
